How to trade on Etsy …
1. Contact the person you would like to trade with asking if they would be interested in a trade and let them know which item(s) you are interested in their shop.
2. Once they have agreed and let you know what they would like from your shop ( of equal value) begin to proceed. **Remember that shipping costs are included for the total of the trade.
3. Add the item(s) to your cart.
4. Fill in your address as requested.
5. Review the purchase.
6. Commit to buy button (but Do Not Pay) since you are trading for another item.
7. Ship the item to the person and enjoy!
There is no need change the listing price,** Changing the Price to .20cents is called Fee Avoidance on Etsy** but you can edit the title to say “ Reserved for” insuring the trader has time in their busy day to sit down later to add the item to their cart.
**Don't remove the items from your shop or you will not be able to give each other Feedback.
Let them know the item has shipped or if it’s custom how many days until it ships.
You can leave each other feedback as normal when items arrive.
I have traded with several shops already and with good communication, photos or using Delivery Conformation for the packages I have not had any problems thus far. Have fun & Enjoy!
